ONEONTA – Mrs. Zofia K. Dukaczewicz, age 77, of 51-53 Church Street, Oneonta, New York, passed away unexpectedly, on Friday, December 27, 2019, at Little Falls Hospital, where she was transferred from Valley Health Services.
Zofia (RUDA) Dukaczewicz was born in Poland, on May 9, 1942, the daughter of the late Maximilian and Rosalia Chroscikowski and immigrated to the United States, in 1985. She lived in Oneonta, New York until two years ago, suffered a stroke during an operation, after which she began her residency, at Focus Nursing Home, in Cooperstown, New York. Earlier this year, she moved to Valley Health Services in Herkimer, New York, where she lived out the rest of her days.
She leaves behind her son, Jakub Dukaczewicz; daughter, Agata Aleniak; her two sisters, Nina Turala and Barbara Sadowiczy Hencel; her daughter-in-law; and her grandchildren.
She was an amazing seamstress and her life’s passion was dance and she was just an amazing dancer.
Following her transition to the Lord in Heaven, the family of Zofia Dukaczewicz called upon the Enea Family Funeral Home, at 24 West Monroe Street, in Little Falls, New York, to assist them during this difficult time, Funeral Directors Harry J. & Kevin E. Enea and Martin L. Ciaccia (315) 823-2424.
