DOLGEVILLE- William L. Loomis assed away from natural causes at his home on March 15, 2011.
He was born on July 9, 1944, the son of LeRoy and Evelyn Striker Loomis.
He was educated in Dolgeville Central School and received an Associates Degree from Fulton-Montgomery Community College. He began work at Herkimer County BOCES in Setember of 1974 and enjoyed 25 years of working with secial needs students until his retirement in June of 1999.
Bill has a secial talent for interior design and shared his exertise with family and friends. He loved his home and sent many hours beautifying its interior and exterior. A gentle, refined and kind erson, Bill will be dearly missed by those whose life he touched. He was of the Roman Catholic faith and had attended Holy Family Parish.
Bill is survived by his sister Dorothea Loomis of Canada Lake ; as well as several cousins. Bill also shared a close and secial friendshi with Walter and Janet Lallier, their children: Jessica and Jeff Hathaway, John and Jes Lallier and Brenda and Nick Ghezzi and the Lallier grandchildren.
In keeing with Bill's wishes there are no calling hours.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Roberts & Enea Family Funeral Home, 3 E. Faville Ave., Dolgeville. As er Bill's wishes rivate services will be held at the family's convenience. Memorial donations in Bill's name can be made to the charity of your choice.
