William K. ?Bill? Hearn 55 of 27 West State Street Dolgeville, died Monday May 23, 2005, after an extended illness, at his residence with his family at his side. He was born on October 6, 1949, in Providence, Rhode Island, the son of O. Jean (Knowles) Hearn of St. Johnsville and the late G. Thomas Hearn. Bill was educated in Litchfield (Connecticut) High School and Waterbury (Connecticut) Technical School. Bill was married to the former Catherine E. Vigeant on September 10, 1971 in st. Thomas Church in Thomaston, Connecticut. A veteran of the United State Army Bill served honorably from 1969-1972 including a tour in Viet Nam, where he specialized in helicopter maintenance. Upon his discharge he received the rank of Specialist 5 and received many service awards. Bill and his family moved to Dolgeville area in 1976. He was an accomplished cabinet maker and wood worker. He was the owner and operator of the Kitchen Center, and created many beautiful kitchens throughout the Mohawk Valley. Bill is survived by his wife Cathy, His Mother O. Jean Hearn of St. Johnsville, a Son Andrew Hearn of Albany, a Daughter Rebecca Hearn of Dolgeville, his Sisters Dale Richard and her husband James of St. Johnsville and Amy Nellissen and her husband Stephen of Ramsey, New Jersey, and several Nieces and Nephews. A Private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. There are No calling hours.
