William "Bill" H. Schorer

MILLERS MILLS – William “Bill” H. Schorer, age 75, of Millers Mills Rd., passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
He was born on February 8, 1949, in Herkimer, the son of Harold and Olga (LaRouche) Schorer and graduated from Mohawk schools, in the class of 1968. Bill was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy. On January 7, 1995, he was married to Karen (Gay) Wentworth, at the Richfield Springs Bible Church. Bill worked in maintenance, at New Hartford Presbyterian Home, for over 20 years, retiring in 2013. He enjoyed gardening.
Surviving family members include his wife, Karen; one son, William A. Schorer and his wife, Hillary, of Norfolk, VA; two step-daughters, Melissa Hoage, of Bridgewater, NY and Desiree Wentworth, of Ilion; two grandchildren, Zachary Hoage and Lillian Hoage; his brother, Craig Schorer and his wife, Sherri, of Utica; his sister, Sharon Pellizzari and her husband, Mike, of TN; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents.
A Memorial Service for Bill will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 9, 2024, at the Christian Bible Church, 167 Ward Road, Mohawk, with Pastor Roger Smith, officiating.
