Mr. William W. Cool, 66, of 501 Sterling Place; Ridgewood, NJ, passed away on Tuesday October 28, 2003 at Valley Hospital, Ridgewood, after a brief illness. He was born on April 29, 1937 in Little Falls, son of the late William and Mary (Canorro) Cool. He attended local schools, and was a graduate of Herkimer High School, Class of 1955. Bill joined the United States Navy an served from 1955 until 1959. Upon his discharge he moved to New York City and was employed by Consolidated Edison for 37 years, retiring as a Field Operator Supervisor. On April 19, 1967 in New York City he was joined in marriage to Helen Doherty with whom he shared a deeply loving and devoted union of 36 years. Bill enjoyed the outdoors and the wonders of nature. He was active in bowling, racquetball, and recently took up the sport of golf. An avid reader he especially enjoyed anything concerning the Civil War. Mr. Cool is survived by his wife Helen; his son: Carl Cool and wife Deborah of Wayne NJ; his adored grandchildren: Douglas Cool and Samantha Cool; two sisters and brothers in law: Dorothy and Sam Licari of Frankfort; Cecelia and John Rougas of Liverpool; one sister in law: Ella Cool of Mohawk; his aunts, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers: Chester Cool and Pasquale "Pat" Cool. Cremation has taken place in New Jersey. Burial at the convenience of the family will be held at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, Town of Little Falls.
