Waona W. Sutton, 73, a long time St. Johnsville resident, passed away on Sunday July 3, 2005 at the St. Johnsville Nursing Home with her family by her side. She was born August 13, 1931 in the Town of Palatine, the daughter of the late Frank & Laura (Kretser) Wick, and was a graduate of Fort Plain High School. Her marriage to Curtis A. Sutton took place on September 16, 1950 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fort Plain. Mrs. Sutton was employed at the Little Falls Fonda Bus Corp. in St. Johnsville for 10 years where she was a school bus driver. Waona was of the Methodist Faith. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Curtis; a son David Sutton and his wife Paula of Amsterdam; a daughter Andrea Barbehenn and her husband Frank of Bethlehem Pa.; a sister Lennetta Cook of St. Johnsville; seven grandchildren: Paul Barbehenn & his wife Melissa, Matthew Barbehenn, Kristen Barbehenn, Richard Sutton and his wife Heather, Kayla Sutton, Matthew Humphrey and Tyler Sutton, and many nieces, nephews & cousins. She was pre-deceased by a sister Monica Loyche. Funeral services will be held on Thursday July 7, 2005 at 1:00 pm from the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville, NY with Reverend Robert Paige, pastor of Christian Community Church of Fort Plain, officiating. Burial will follow at West St. Johnsville Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Wednesday July 6, 2005 from 5-8 pm. All memorial contributions may be made to St. Johnsville Nursing Home, Resident's Council. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
