Walter Klayer

Mr. Walter C. Klayer, Jr., age 46, of 2435 State Rt. 28, Mohawk passed away on February 7, 2003 at his home. He was born on September 25, 1956 in Herkimer a son of the late Walter C. and Mary Ellen (Knox) Klayer. He received his education in Mohawk schools and lived the greater part of his life in the Mohawk area. He married Pamela Perry on Sept. 8, 1979 in the Town of Warren. Walter was last employed with Barrett Paving in New York Mills. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife Pamela of the home address, four children, Walter C. Klayer, III, Jeffery David Robert Klayer, Melinda Marie Klayer and Courtney Ann Klayer, two sisters, Margaret "Peg" Trefzger and husband Edwin of Ilion and Ellen Joyce Huyck of Herkimer, several nieces including Elissa Anderson and Hilary Huyck and a nephew Edwin Trefzger, in laws and many friends. The funeral service will commence at 7 pm on Monday, February 10, 2002 in the chapel of the Holleran-Enea Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St, Herkimer. Calling hours will be from 5-7 p.m. before the funeral service. Kindly consider remembrances to the American Heart Association. Interment will be held later this spring in Crown Hill Cemetery, New Hartford in the family plot.
