LITTLE FALLS - Vivian C. Atutis, age 97, formerly of Little Falls passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 30, 2025.

Born April 17,1928, Vivian was the daughter of Gus and Irene Carlson. Vivian was raised on the beloved family homestead on the Carlson Road in Dolgeville. Stricken with polio at the age of 7, Vivian went on to have a complete recovery and full life. She was educated in the Dolgeville schools and often spoke proudly of that education.

On May 16, 1948, Vivian married Francis Atutis. They were married for over 73 years until the death of Francis in 2021. Vivian is survived by her three children Kathryn (Thomas Norton) of Albany, Suzanne Moore of Halfmoon, and Michael (Karen) of Baldwinsville; 4 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.

Vivian and Francis owned and operated Atutis Welding in Little Falls for over 40 years. Vivian was an avid reader and an accomplished cross stitcher.

Vivian is survived by her sisters, Lillian Boyer, Irene Tooly, and Barbara Grimmer. She was predeceased by her brothers Gus and Karl Carlson, and her sister Carol Wesley.

In accordance with Vivian’s wishes there will be no formal funeral services. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
