HERKIMER-Mrs. Virginia G. (Corelli) Morotti, age 91 of West Smith Street, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Tuesday afternoon, July 26, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Utica.
She was born on April 5, 1920 in Herkimer, daughter of the late Cline and Caroline (Clemente) Corelli and educated in Herkimer schools. Mrs. Morotti was last employed with the former Derby Sportswear, Herkimer. She was united in marriage with Louis L. Morotti on May 19, 1943 at Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church, Herkimer; a loving and devoted union of 28 years until Mr. Morotti's passing in 1971. She was a communicant of St. Francis de Sales Church, Herkimer.
Survivors include a brother: Victor Corelli of California and a sister: Louise Franchi of Herkimer; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a sister, Palmy Cirillo.
In keeping with Mrs. Morotti's wishes, there are no public calling hours. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to her Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 11 am on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 from St. Francis de Sales Church, Herkimer with the Rev. Mark Cunningham, pastor officiating. Procession will follow to Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer where she will be laid to rest.
The family woudl like to offer their gratitude to the staff of Folts Homes, Herkimer, Little Falls Hospital and St Elizabeth's Hospital for their kindness and compassion. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Funeral Director Daniel J. Enea-Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer (866-1011).
