HERKIMER-ILION - Violet E. (Hand) Renaud, age 87, of New Jersey, formerly of Herkimer and Ilion, passed away on December 11, 2013, at home, surrounded by her family.
She was born on February 1, 1926, in Norton Hill, NY, the daughter of Ivan and Pearl (Mathews) Hand. She graduated from Ilion High School in 1943. She was employed at Decision Data Accounting in Pennsylvania for twenty years. She worked with Girl Scouts, VFW 4915 Auxiliary and Class of 1943 Reunion Committee. She enjoyed her family, knitting, baking and cooking.
She is survived by her husband, John Paul Renaud, of sixty-eight years; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Madelyn and Dominick Delucia; son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Kathy Renaud; son-in-law and daughter-in-law, Richard and Jane Marshall; grandchildren, Joanne and Tom Bisconti, Tommy Renaud, Ricky Marshall and Erica Beaver, John Paul and Kimberly Marshall; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her sister, Irene Devere, daughter, Deborah Marshall, and brother, Barry Hand.
Spring burial will be held at Mohawk Cemetery at a date and time to be announced.
