Viola Peters

Viola ?Vi? M. Peters, 82, of 9 W. Rand St., Ilion, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2006, at home. She was born on Nov. 29, 1924, in Malone, the daughter of Edward and Amelia (Jones) Perry and attended Malone schools. On Sept. 27, 1947, she was married to Francis C. Peters at the Annunciation Church, Ilion. Survivors include her husband Francis; her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Stephen Martin of Ilion; two grandsons, Charles Humphreville and his wife Jennifer, of Litchfield, and John Seiselmyer of Ilion; two granddaughters, Tina Vance of Ilion and Shannon LaCelle and husband William of Ilion; 10 great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Humphreville, Kyle Vance, Jennifer and James Loomis, Jasmin LaCelle, Dylan, Morgan and Jordyn Vance, Trevor and Alexis Seiselmyer. She was predeceased by her daughter Linda Seiselmyer; her brothers Bob, Floyd, Elmer and Francis Perry; her sisters, Beatrice Hungerford, Blanche Foley and Anna Campese; her brother-in-law Vernon Peters. Friends and relatives are invited to attend funeral services at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, at the Applegate & Day Funeral Home, 102 West St., Ilion, and 10 a.m. at the Church of Annunciation, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Alfred A. Lamanna. Interment will be in Armory Hill Cemetery, Ilion. Calling hours are Monday, Jan. 1, from 2 p.m.-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
