ILION-COLUMBIA – Victoria “Vicky” M. Becker, age 92, of Spohn Road (Town of Columbia) Ilion, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 4, 2018, at home, with her family by her side.
She was born on May 31, 1926, in Herkimer, the daughter of Gene Boyer and Isabelle Blair Barrett Boyer. Vicky attended St. Francis de
Survivors include three daughters and one son-in-law, Nancy and Jim Cotton, of the Town of Columbia, Sharon Rogers, of Ilion and Ella Mae Becker and her partner, Jackie Gardner, of Ilion; five sons and five daughters-in-law, Edward and Julie Brewer, of Ilion, Richard and Kathy Brewer, of Herkimer, George and Roseann Becker, of Mohawk, Jonathan and Wanda Becker, of Town of Litchfield and Edward D. Becker, Jr., of Fayetteville, and Carol Becker; several grandchildren including two grandsons who she helped raise and loved like sons, Michael and David Newberry and a special grandson, George Becker, Jr. who gave his grandmother exceptional care during her last months; several great-grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren; her sister, Geraldine Valazac, of Herkimer; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her two sons and one daughter-in-law, John and Jackie Becker and Edwin Becker; her daughters, Earline Howard, Donna Marie Brewer and Barbara Irizarry; her sisters, Lillian Goutremont, Mary Keeler, Virginia Catalina, Lucy Chuff, Gladys Gaudu, June Smithson and Leona Comes; and her brothers, John Boyer and Arthur Barrett.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 8, 2018, from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m., at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home’s larger facility at
