ILION – Veronica L. (Peak) Seaman, age 77, of Grove St., Ilion, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Wynn Hospital, Utica.
She was born on January 9, 1949, in Ilion, the daughter of Harold Lynn Peak and Irene (Harvey) Peak and graduated from Ilion Central High School in 1967. Veronica married Lawrence “Larry” J. Seaman in 2000, in Mohawk. She worked in Shipping and Packing at Doufold Co., Ilion, for several years. Most recently, Veronica was the Supervisor of the night shift at the House of Good Shepherd for 13 years. She enjoyed crocheting and was always reading good books.
Surviving family members include her husband, Larry; her sister, Barbara Coulter; several nieces and nephews, Patrick Coulter and his wife, Karen, Donna Chapman and her husband, Edward, Janet Coulter and her husband, Sean Mowers; great nieces and nephews, Ryan and Leanne Coulter, Lauren and Jonny Patton, Allison Coulter, Fallon and Austin Butler, Angeline and Ken Farrington, Brian Chapman and Caitlin, Christine Chapman and Joe, Zachary Kerwin, Kaylee and Ivan Delia, Keira Mowers. Veronica is also survived by great great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, H. Lynn and Irene Peak; her two sisters, Gail and Donna Peak; and her brother-in-law, Lee Coulter.
Veronica’s Celebration of Life and Committal Prayer Service will be held in August of 2026, at the convenience of the family, at Armory Hill Cemetery, Ilion. Larry’s long-time friend and Family Funeral Director Don Applegate, will officiate.
The Seaman Family would like to thank the Medical and Nursing Staffs at Valley Health Services, Herkimer and Wynn Hospital, Utica, for their kindness and excellent care given to Veronica when she was a patient.

In lieu of flowers, as a token of sympathy, Memorial Contributions may be given to your favorite charity in memory of Veronica.
The Seaman family entrusted Veronica’s service arrangements and supervision to their Family Funeral Director and long-time friend, Don Applegate, at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home’s original location, at 102 West St., Ilion, NY (315-895-7722).
