SCOTIA, Mr. Troy O'Neil Shiver, 35, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday March 27, 2013 in Schenectady.
Troy was born on May 1, 1977, in Andalusia, Alabama, son of Walter and Lois (Lawrence) Shiver.Troy was a veteran of the U.S. Army, proudly serving his country from 1999-2003.
Troy was a lot of fun to be around. He loved the outdoors and welding. He especially enjoyed helping other people, especially the elderly.
Survivors include his mother Lois Lawrence Bush; his children:Margaret, Ethan, Gavin, Hannah and Jarett; his brothers: Charlie Williams of Temple, TX, Bill Bush of New Orleans,LA and Leonard Johnson of Montgomery Al; his sister Scarlett "Bunkie" Lawrence of GA and his beloved Laura Dager and her children Destinee and Justin. He was predeceased by his father Walter O'Neil Shiver, his stepfathers Dale Jones and Richard Lee Bush and his step brother Jeffrey Lawrence..
The family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4pm on Monday April 8, 2013 at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville A religious service will take place at the conclusion of calling hours with the Rev. David A. Johnson officiating.. Procession will follow to West St. Johnsville Cemetery where full military honors will be offered by the U.S. Army.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations in Troy's name be made to the Wounded Warriors Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
