IN LOVING MEMORY

SCHUYLER - Mr. Thomas Marinis, age 72 of Schuyler, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 14th, 2026.

Thomas was born on November 24th, 1953, in New York City to the late Winifred and Michael Marinis. Thomas spent his youth in education and on adventures. After a long battle with substance abuse, he overcame his addiction and dedicated his life to serving others, first as a Physical Therapy Assistant, and then as a Registered Nurse. As a Nurse, he was beloved by all his patients as being kind, caring and attentive.

Thomas met his wife, Beth, later in life at age 50 and it was love at first sight. Beth and Tom spent over 23 years together in joy and love. Tom and Beth shared a love of all things natural, the woods, the mountains, the fields and the sea. They made their home at Applewood Farm, the “land”, planted trees and flowers, and cherished the over 40 varieties of birds that visited their porch.

Tom’s beloved Chihuahua, Fernando, was the light of his life and took part in everything.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Beth, his stepdaughters, Elizabeth (Liza) and Katharine (Kate).

As well as his brothers and sisters, Christopher, Louise, William, Michele, Patricia, and James.

Tom believed strongly in the goodness of people and the power of love.

Relatives and friends are invited to The Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road in Ilion, New York, on Friday, April 24th, 2026, from 1:00pm-3:00pm and 5:00pm- 7:00pm to pay their respects to Thomas. This time is calling hours and viewing.

There will be a celebration of life at the Marinis House, 390 Cogar Drive Frankfort NY 13340 on Saturday, April 25th from 12-5, please bring your own drink and food if desired, to contribute.
