HERKIMER – Mrs. Theresa M. Davidson, 106, of Galinsky Apartments, Herkimer, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023, in Rome, New York.
She was born on May 11, 1917, in Utica, New York, a daughter of the late Arthur and Ethel (Dunkerley) Holdsworth and was educated in Utica schools. Her marriage to Donald H. Davidson took place October 18, 1941, in St. Agnes Church, Utica, a loving union until his passing October 10, 1964. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Church, Herkimer. Theresa had belonged to the Foster Grandparent Program, a volunteer organization out of Rome, New York. She had also worked at John Street Head Start, as well as Folts Home Childcare.
Her beloved family survives, including children, Donald Davidson (Sandy), Diane Sylvester (Chris), and Darlene Voelbel (Mark); six grandchildren, Christy, Jeff, Doni-Lynn, Shawn, Jason, and Theresa; nine great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Arthur Holdsworth (Pearl).
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Francis de Sales Church, North Bellinger Street, Herkimer, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Utica.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 North Washington Street in Herkimer, New York. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours and the funeral the following day.
