Mr. Theodore “Ted” J. Youker, Sr. affectionally nicknamed “Butch” by his family, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his daughter’s home surrounded by the love of his family on Friday, June 19, 2026, at the age of 81.
Ted was born on March 12, 1945, in Little Falls, New York. He is the son of the late Franklin J. Youker and Linda Fletcher (VanSlyke).
Ted attended Oppenheim High School and immediately entered the work force. He worked several different jobs. Ted worked as a truck driver, being most at peace in the outdoors, he excelled as a logger in the timber industry. He worked with various local companies in forest in the greater New York area. In his down time, Ted made fond memories on hunting and fishing excursions and always took time to truly appreciate the peace and beauty of nature.
It was on December 13, 1985, that he married the former Julie M. Smith. The couple shared a blessed union of over 40 years together. Ted will be deeply missed by his beloved Julie.
He is survived by his wife Julie Youker; his children and their families; Ted and Donna Youker, Rodney and Kimberly Youker, Shannon Youker, Theodore Jr. and Rachel Youker, Justin and Melissa Youker; his 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren as well as his siblings; Concetta Youker; John Youker; and David Youker. He will also be missed by his dog Duke, truly a man’s best friend.
Ted was predeceased by his daughter Laurie Youker, his son Shawn Youker, his sister Wanita Rulison, & his K-9 Appollo.
Family and friends are invited to attend Ted’s Funeral Service, which will be held graveside, on Wednesday, July 1st, 2026, at 11:00 at Fical Cemetery in Lassellsville, New York.
