FRANKFORT - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Theodore A. Herron of Schuyler NY, who passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at the Wynn Hospital in Utica.
Theodore was born on October 17, 1953 in Little Falls NY, the son of Frederick J. Herron Sr. and Genevieve A. Herron. He was a graduate of Owen D. Young High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Ted was employed at the Walmart Distribution Center in Marcy for the past 25 years. Prior to that, he was employed at the Rawlings Bat Factory in Dolgeville. Ted was a loving son, father, grandfather and brother. He loved traveling, decorating for the holidays and working in his garden. Ted loved to joke around and had a great sense of humor. It brought him much joy and happiness to spend time with his grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He leaves behind his long-time companion, Sandie; a daughter, Rebecca Cook and her husband Richard (RJ) Cook, granddaughters, Abigale Watson and Olivia Cook, grandson, Owen Riesel and great-granddaughter Vivian Riesel; brother Frederick Herron and Walda, sister, Mary Mika and her husband Mitchell, brothers, Steven Herron, David Herron and his wife Brenda; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his father Frederick J. Herron, his mother, Genevieve A. (Walts) Herron as well as a brother, Richard T. Herron and his sister in law, Sandra Herron.
Relatives and friends are invited to a prayer service at Saint Marks Church, 440 Keyes Rd. Utica, NY 13502 on February 22, 2025, at 12:00 PM.
