Thelma Audrey Perrone, 84 of Mohawk, NY passed away on Wednesday January 18, 2006 at Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown, NY. She was born June 28, 1921 in Martinsburg, NY the daughter of the late Eugene & Caroline (Ingersoll) Lane, and was educated in Richfield Springs schools. Her marriage to Harold J. Perrrone took place on September 27, 1940 in Richfield Springs, NY. Thelma was last employed at Duofold in Mohawk. For many years, she worked at the former Woolworth's in Herkimer. Mrs. Perrone was a member of the Richfield Springs Methodist Church. Thelma centered her life around her family, always putting their needs first and proving herself as a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. In her leisure she enjoyed tending her flowers and crocheting. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Harold, a son Wayne Perrone and his wife Claudia of Mohawk, 2 daughters, Janice Edick and her husband Floyd of Livingston, Texas & Linda Roberts and her husband Grant of Pahrump, Nevada, seven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and one great great grandson, and in-laws; Clarence & Olivia Knapp of Newport, Margaret Perrone of Ilion and June Lonis of Ilion and several nieces & nephews. She was pre-deceased by a brother, Clifford Lane and a sister Lucille Howey. Funeral services will be held Sunday January 22, 2006 at 4:00 pm at the Enea Family Funeral Home, Main Street (between Ilion & Frankfort) with Reverend Debra Wollaber, pastor of the Mohawk United Methodist Church officiating. Spring burial will be in Mt. View Memorial Gardens, Town of Little Falls, NY. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 3:00 pm until the time of the services. All memorial contributions may be made to Bassett Healthcare or the American Diabetes Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
