BENECIA, CALIFORNIA/ILION, NEW YORK-Mr. Terry J. Kamp, formerly of California, most recently of Ilion, passed away on Thursday morning, June 18, 2009. He was born on June 15, 1956 in Phoenix, AZ son of the late William Kamp and Jane (Bronson) Kamp-Adler of Ilion. He grew up in California graduated from San Dimas High School and received an associate degree in arts from Mt. San Antonio College in California. Terry was last employed in the shipping/receiving department of the Humanware Company in Concord, Ca. and was of the Protestant faith. Mr. Kamp loved the outdoors and especially deep sea fishing. In his college days he won the California wrestling state championship. He will be missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his loving family; his mother, Jane Kamp-Adler of Ilion; his children: Tyler Kamp of Vallejo, Ca., and Chyanne Kamp of Nevada; his siblings: Melvin Kamp of San Bernardino, Ca., Kevin & Corrine Kamp of Ilion, Mary Kamp of Ilion, and Scott Kamp of Ilion; his nieces and nephews: Brian, Greg, Anthony, Sara, April, Scott, Jonathan and Gerald; also surviving are two uncles: Mr. and Mrs. John Bronson of Missouri and Melvin Bronson of Illinois; an aunt: Connie Kuhn of Kansas City, Missouri; and numerous cousins. He is also survived by his son Tyler?s mother: Tonya Brooks, grandfather and his friend: Dale Brooks, and Tyler?s girlfriend: Darla Hall. He was preceded in death by his former mother in law: Betty Brooks and by his brother: Karl Kamp and by his twin brother, Kerry Kamp. In keeping with Mr. Kamp?s wishes cremation will take place under the direction of the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 102 West St., Ilion - Daniel J. Enea, director. For those wishing to offer a memorial contribution may do so to Hospice Care, Inc. 4277 Middle Settlement Rd., New Hartford, NY 13413-5396, who took wonderful care of Terry and his family during his final days.
