Sylvia Cool

Sylvia M. Cool, 91, a long time Dolgeville resident and formerly of Stratford, entered into eternal life with her Lord on Friday April 7, 2006 at Little Falls Hospital. She was born February 14, 1915 in Stratford, NY the daughter of the late James and Maude (Daley) McGowan and was a graduate of Stratford High School, class of 1933. Her marriage to Ralph L. Cool took place on June 28, 1936, having 55 years together, Ralph entered his eternal life with his Lord on February 16, 1992. Sylvia attended Little Falls First Assembly of God Church and faithfully served Him all the days of her life. She was at one time a member of the Stratford Senior Citizens and served as chaplain of the group. Survivors include her four children, Marie Wineberg of Herkimer, Gail Signer and husband Rene of Switzerland, Veronica Lofstrom of Scotia, and Marc Cool and wife Betty of Dolgeville, 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, a sister, Edna Rockwell of Stratford, and several nieces & nephews. She was pre-deceased by a son David Cool in 1991, a sister, Bernice Perkins and a son-in-law Stanley Lofstrom. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday April 11, 2006 at 11:00 am from the First Assembly of God Church in Little Falls with Revered Joseph Chamberlin, officiating. Burial will be in Stratford Cemetery later in the spring. Friends and relatives may call at the Roberts & Enea Family Funeral Home, 3 Faville Ave., Dolgeville, NY on Monday April 10, 2006 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and Tuesday morning at the church from 10:30 am until the time of the services.
