Sydney Murray

ILION-UTICA - Sydney R. O?Dell, A.K.A. Michael Murray, age 50, of Leah St., Utica, formerly of Ilion, died Saturday, January 30, 2010, at the home of his aunt, Delores Collette of Ilion, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born on April 24, 1959, in Herkimer, the son of Barbara Collette and Michael Murray. He was a self-employed auto mechanic. Survivors include his mother, Barbara Bouck; son and daughter, Michael and Cindy; three sisters, Bertha, Kathy and Margaret Ann; two brothers, Walter and Fred; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, adopted brothers and adopted sisters. He was predeceased by his adopted parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph O?Dell; his infant brother, ?Freddy Russell?; and his grandparents, James and Bertha Tubia. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a memorial service at 1 PM, Monday, February 8, 2010, at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., Ilion, with Pastor Fred Collette officiating. Visitation will be Monday, February 8, 2010, from 12 noon to 1 PM, prior to the memorial service. All arrangements are entrusted to family friend, Don Applegate, Funeral Director.
