Stella Moyer

Stella D. Moyer, age 81, a long time Starkville resident, passed away on Wednesday October 6, 2004 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica. She was born on May 30, 1923 in Middleville, the daughter of the late Protzy & Blanche (Butawicz) Roginski, and was educated at St. Mary's Academy in Little Falls. Her marriage to Alton Moyer took place on November 22, 1945 at St. Patrick's Church in St. Johnsville. Stella was last employed at the former Mohawk Data Science in Herkimer, and was a member of St. James Catholic Church and its Rosary Society in Fort Plain. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Alton; 3 sisters: Edith Nagle of Little Falls, Ann Lawrence and her husband Peter of Syracuse, and Rosemarie McGinnis and husband James of Syracuse; and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a sister, Heleb Ingerham and 2 brothers: Walter and Steve Roginski. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 12, 2004 at 9:15 AM from the Enea Funeral Home, and at 10:00 from the Holy Family Parish Church (corner of Main and John Streets) where a Mass of Christian Burial will take place with the Reverend Kenneth Swain officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Town of Herkimer, NY. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5-8 PM. All memorial contributions may be made to the Little Falls Hospital or to St. James Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
