Stanley Johnson

Mr. Stanley R. Johnson, 94, formerly of the Mohawk Homestead and currently a resident of Folts Homes, passed away at that facility on Sunday evening, January 15, 2006. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, on March 8, 1911, the son of the late Casimier and Helen Jankowski and received his education in Bethlehem, Pa. Schools. He spent most of his life in New Jersey and came to the Mohawk Valley in 1997. His marriage to Ann C. Kolba took place in Brooklyn and she predeceased him in 1987. Stanley was last employed with Chubb and Son Insurance, Somerset, New Jersey. He was of the Protestant Faith. Mr. Johnson enjoyed the times he spent on the Jersey Shore and was a deep sea fisher. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include a son: Ronald Johnson of Elizabeth, New Jersey; a daughter and son in law: Audrey Raffa and husband Harry of Little Falls; three grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his fianc?: Millie Askloff. Mr. Johnson's funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. He was laid to rest in Armory Hill Cemetery, Ilion.
