Stanley W. Herringshaw, Sr., age 77, of Oregon Road, Mohawk, New York, passed away on August 10th, 2026, in Syracuse, New York.

He was born on September 29th, 1948, in Herkimer, New York, a son of the late Frederick, Sr., and Beatrice (Guyer) Herringshaw. He was a lifelong resident of the Little Falls area. He was united in marriage to Valerie Kissner on July 3rd, 1971, in Little Falls. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served our country from 1967 until 1970. Stan worked as a press operator with Union Tool Company of Frankfort, New York. He was a member of the East Schuyler Methodist Church and was a hobby farmer who loved horses and cherished his family.

He is survived by his wife Valerie, his children, Deborah (Bob), and their children Leanne and Charles Shafer, Stanley, Jr. (Michelle), and their children Derick and Travis Herringshaw, Lisa Edmunds, and children Tre and Tye Dixon, John (Danielle) and children Jonathon and Rebekah Wilsey, Victoria, Alyson, Gabriella, Shane, and Michael Herringshaw, and Sherri Kraft (Cary), and children, Christopher and Jarrad Kraft, Jacob and Leola Dixon, a brother, Brian Herringshaw, sisters, Lelia King and Lorraine (Tom) Brown, and many, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by a grandson, Brandon, brother, Fred, Jr., sisters, Donna Humphrey, Elnora Brado, and Beatrice Snyder, sister-in-law and brothers-in-law Beverly Lamanna, Rocco Lamanna, Thomas Kissner, Jim King, Joe Humphrey, and LeRoy Snyder and a nephew Randall Evans.

There are no calling hours. As per Stan’s wishes, a graveside service will take place at Salisbury Rural Cemetery at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to The Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street in Little Falls, New York (315) 823-2424.
