Solomon Young

ST. JOHNSVILLE – A Funeral Service for Solomon Young, shall be held, on Tuesday morning, September 9th, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at The Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center Street, in St. Johnsville, New York, with Pastor Michael Torres, officiating. Interment will then take place at St. Johnsville Cemetery. Friends and family are invited and encouraged to join at this time in celebrating his life and the joy he brought to so many.

Solomon, born March 27th, 1965, passed away, while with those he dearly loved, at Albany Medical Center, on September 2nd, 2025. He had comfortably resided on Wohlgemuth Road, in St. Johnsville, for a good many years.

Solomon was a man who truly loved engaging with his community. Whether he was attending sporting events, visiting animals at the local shelter, shopping, or simply spending one – on – one time with his staff at Lexington, Solomon found joy in connecting with others. He had an infectious smile and a sparkle in his eyes that brightened the lives of everyone around him.

Solomon’s caring nature and warm spirit were also evident in his relationship with his advocate, JoAnn Murphy, who remained a close friend and consistent source of support throughout his life.

Solomon is survived by his extended family and many dear friends, including those at Lexington Center ARC, who became like family to him over the years. His presence touched the hearts of everyone there, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
