Shirley M. Reinhardt

HERKIMER – Mrs. Shirley M. Reinhardt, age 75, a longtime resident of Pullman Street in Herkimer , NY , passed away on Thursday morning March 15, 2018 at Homelife at Folts in Herkimer , NY .

She was born on August 24, 1942 in Fort Johnson , NY , a daughter of the late Earl and Bernadette (Briggs) Sweeney and attended Rome schools. She was married to Duane Lyndaker who passed away in 1983. She later married George Louis Reinhardt and he passed away in 2015.

Shirley was last employed as a home health aide with Herkimer County Public Health. She had also worked in the cafeteria of Ilion High School for many years. Shirley was very active with the Christ Episcopal Church in Herkimer. She held various positions within the church, inclusive to Lay Eucharistic Minister, altar work, and a member of the St. Mary’s Guild of the Church. She had a wonderful smile that could just light up an entire room and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her four children, Carrie Gordon and husband Brian of Ilion, Duane Lyndaker, Jr and his wife Laurie of Arizona, Renee Lyndaker and her fiancée Clarance Dygert of Ilion, and Jason Lyndaker and his wife Tara of Ilion, her stepchildren, Michelle Reinhardt and her friend Tim of South New Berlin, Debra Reinhardt of Frankfort, Teresa Reinhardt and her partner Kevin of Scotia, and Kelly Carlisle and her husband Todd of Scotia, her sisters, Betty Liccedello and her husband Tony, and Beverly Woods, and her brothers, Randy Sweeney and Earl “Sonny” Sweeney, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her siblings, Linda, Gary, Jamie, Ricky and Joanie.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday March 20, 2018 at 12 NOON at The Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 North Washington Street in Herkimer , NY (315) 866-1011. The service will be officiated by Rev. Jill Stellman. Calling hours at the funeral home are one hour prior to the funeral service, 11AM until Noon. There will be a Spring burial at Oak Hill Cemetery on Monday May 14 ^th at 11:30 AM.
