ILION - Sharon A. Berberick, age 61, of Jordanville Rd., Ilion (Cedarville-Town of Columbia), passed away peacefully on Friday, January 30, 2015, at Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown, NY, after a long illness.
She was born on September 14, 1953, in Ilion, the daughter of Clarence and Gladys (Oviete) White, and graduated from Ilion High School. On July 28, 1973, she was married to Cary R. Berberick in Ilion. She was the owner/operator and hairdresser at Sheer Delights Beauty Salon in Ilion. She was also a seamstress at Joseph Feiss Co., Utica, and worked at the Ilion True Value Hardware. Sharon enjoyed knitting and crafts.
Surviving family members include her husband, Cary; her mother, Gladys White, of Ilion; her son and daughter-in-law, Cary Berberick, II, and Courtney; her granddaughter, Paige Berberick; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Clarence White, Jr., and Debbie, of Ilion, and Joseph White and Lynn, of Ilion; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In keeping with Sharon's wishes, there are no scheduled public calling hours or funeral service.
