Ruth Polenski

Ruth A. Polenski, 78, of 5 Church St., St. Johnsville, passed away on Friday November 24, 2006 at Little Falls Hospital. She was born February 20, 1928 in the Town of Oppenheim, the daughter of the late Newell & Ida (Bishop) Montana. Ruth was in the first graduating class of Oppenheim -?Ephratah Central School, where she graduated with honors. Her marriage to Harry Polenski took place in 1947 at the Oppenheim Methodist Church. Mr. Polenski passed away on September 10, 1985. Survivors include her children, Louise Bernhardt of Charlotte, NC, Nancy Swank of St. Johnsville, Paul Polenski of Rock Hill, SC, Idamarie Polenski of Salisbury Center, Mary Gillis and husband Nathaniel of Glenwood, GA, and John L. Polenski, Sr., of Oppenheim, a sister, Helen Johnson of Dolgeville, 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews. She was pre-deceased by 2 brothers, James & Clayton Montana and a sister, Gladys Nellis. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a graveside service on Thursday November 30, 2006 at 2:00 pm at Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills, NY. Funeral arrangements are by the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville, NY.
