MOHAWK- Mrs. Ruth G. Engells, 75 of Church St. entered into eternal rest on April 9, 2009 at Little Falls Hospital.
Mrs. Engells was born on September 13, 1933 in Herkimer, NY; daughter of the late Clarence and Sylvia (Fellows) Rivenburg. On April 24,1954 she was united in marriage with Robert Engells. She worked most of her life at Duo Fold in Mohawk and most recently at Valley Health Services in Herkimer.
Ruth liked to take care of her neighbors. She loved ceramics, drawing and bingo.
Survivors include her beloved family; her husband of over 54 years Robert, her daughters Enola Denison and her husband Gary of Ilion and Tracy McCumber of Norwich, NY; her sons Robert Jr. of Utica and Grant and his wife Marian of Mohawk; her brothers Clarence Rivenburg Jr. and his wife Barbara of Herkimer and John Rivenburg and his wife Gail of Little Falls; her 5 grandchildren: Shannon Denison and her companion John Stewart, Sara Denison, Robert McCumber, Colleen Engells and Scott McCumber and his fiance Jessica Reardon; her 2 great grandchildren Fiona Stewart and Luna McCumber and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her sisters Shirley Irdell and Nora Rivenburg.
There are no calling hours; but burial of cremains will take place Wednesday April 22,2009 at 10:30am at Mohawk Cemetery
