Rowena Thomes

Rowena L. Thomes, age 87, a longtime resident of Mohawk, passed away on Sunday March 21, 2004 at St. Luke's Hospital, New Hartford. Rowena enjoyed her family, her home, and vacations on the Cape for many decades. She is survived by her beloved canine companion, Happy; her sons: Howard (Carolyn); Tim (Arlene); John (Leonila). Also surviving are four grandchildren: Chass, Howard, Jr., Scott & Johnilla, and three great grandchildren: Shane, Nicole & Samantha. Funeral services will be held Tuesday evening, March 23, 2004 at 8:00 PM at the Chapel of the Enea Funeral Home, Main Street between Ilion and Frankfort; with Rev. William Harkins officiating. Interment will take place later this spring at Mohawk Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to attend a calling hour at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 7:00 until the time of the service. Those wishing are asked in lieu of flowers to consider donations to the Herkimer County Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home (894-8000).
