MOHAWK - In Loving Memory: Rosemary Elizabeth View, of Mohawk, NY, went to join her daughter, Cheryl Oldfield-Jackson, on December 1, 2023. Rosemary was born in Herkimer NY, on March 23, 1949, to Agnes and Herbert Marmet. She attended Mohawk Central School.
Rosemary married Edward S. View, Jr. on November 15, of 1980 and together they had a total of 5 children that they brought to the marriage. She worked at the family business, Marmet Block Works as well as a bookkeeper for MOVAC. Rosemary enjoyed participating in ceramics classes, collecting miniatures, Nascar Jeff Gordon fan and the casino and bingo. She was a proud member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 25, past member of the Herkimer Lady Elks and volunteered at the Herkimer/Mohawk food pantry.
Rosemary is survived by her husband, Edward View, Jr.; her siblings, Kathleen Moynihan and Kenneth Marmet and his wife, Elsa; her sister-in-law, Eva Marmet (James); her stepchildren, Bonnie Muffett and her husband, Ron, Edward View III and his wife, Erin, Patrick View and his wife, Kelley and Scott View and his wife, Danielle; her grandchildren, Kyle Muffett, Bradley View (Mali), Mary Reece (Mark), Abigail View, Zachery View, Mason View and Liam View. She also has 4 great-grandchildren and a beautiful little girl on the way; her nephews, Shawn McGraw (Suzanne) and family, Kevin Marmet (Allison) and family and Justin Marmet (Angela) and family.
Rosemary was predeceased by her parents, Agnes Marmet and Herbert Marmet; her daughter, Cheryl Oldfield-Jackson; her brother, James Marmet, her brother-in-law, David Moynihan; and her beloved furry friends, Maggie and Molly.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, at 4309 Acme Rd., Ilion, NY, on December 5, 2023, with calling hours from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., prior to the Memorial Service which will start at 4:00 pm. The Mohawk American Legion Auxiliary is asked to meet at 3:30 p.m., for their service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Herkimer County Humane Society, 514 State Rte 5S, Mohawk, NY 13407, or Hospice & Palliative Care, 4277 Middle Settlement Rd., New Hartford, NY 13413. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
