ILION – Rosemarie (Thibault) Squire, age 89, formerly of Ilion, passed away peacefully, on Friday, March 24, 2023, at Foltsbrook Center, Herkimer, NY.
She was born on November 17, 1933, in Clinton, NY, the daughter of Lucien and Adrienne (Tourigny) Thibault and graduated from Ilion High School. On June 29, 1957, Rosemarie was married to Charles G. Squire, Jr., in Ilion. Charles passed away in 2008. At one time, she was employed at Carter & Manley Law Office, in Ilion. She was a member of the Church of the Annunciation.
Surviving family members include her 3 children: Robert Squire and his wife, Vicki, of Ilion, NY, Christina Holgate and her husband, Paul, of Cazenovia, NY and Debora Cullen and her husband, Peter, of Amherst, NY; her daughter-in-law, Victoria (Lysenga) Squire, of Bel Air, MD; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; her brother, Lawrence Thibault and his wife, Jeanne, of Roanoke, TX; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Charles; her son, David Squire; and her brother, Charles Thibault.
Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 30, 2023, at the Church of the Annunciation, West St., Ilion, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Pastor Paul Catena. The family will receive friends and relatives at the conclusion of the Church Service. There are no scheduled calling hours.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital and Foltsbrook Center. They felt incredibly supported and are so appreciative of the tender and loving care their mom received.
