Rose Schneider

LITTLE FALLS-Mrs. Rose M. (Miosek) Schneider, 87 formerly of Rockton Plaza Apts., most recently of Folts Homes, Herkimer passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, December 28, 2010 in that facility.



She was born on November 19, 1923 in Little Falls daughter of the late Frank and Rose (Schamro) Miosek and educated in Little Falls schools. She was a lifelong Little Falls resident. On November 21, 1942 she was united in marriage with Tony Schneider in St. Mary?s Church, Little Falls. Mr. Schneider passed away in 1983. Mrs. Schneider was last employed with Van Allen?s Nursing Home as a nurse?s aide for several years. She was a communicant of Holy Family Parish, Little Falls. Mrs. Schneider volunteered her time for many years at Rockton Plaza.



Survivors include a daughter: Victoria Schneider; a sister: Sophie Sweet of Little Falls; many nieces, nephews, and an in law: Jane Miosek and her dedicated, devoted friends Scott and Donna Todd of Little Falls. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Moxy Miosek.



In keeping with Rose?s wishes, there are no services scheduled. Memorial offerings in her name can be made to the Holy Family Parish Memorial Fund. Cremation arrangements are through Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls. Her cremains will be interred in St. Mary's Cemetery, town of Herkimer in spring of 2011 with her husband at a time to be announced.
