Mrs. Rose A. Raiello, 85, a lifelong Little Falls resident and beloved wife of the late Anthony J. Raiello, entered into eternal rest on Sunday evening, August 31, 2003 in Little Falls Hospital. She was born on October 4, 1917 in Little Falls, daughter of the late James and Stella (DeBlasio) Staffo and was educated in Little Falls Schools. On November 15, 1941, Rose joined in marriage with Anthony J. Raiello at St. Joseph's Church in Little Falls, a blessed union of 43 years until his passing on January 7, 1995. Rose was last employed with the former Allegro Shoe Corporation. She was a communicant of Holy Family Parish, Little Falls. Survivors include two beloved daughters, Marie Volo of Little Falls and Gayle Raiello of Schenectady, two grandchildren, Kevin Volo and wife Dalanda of North Carolina and Christopher Volo of Briarcliff Manor, two brothers, Nicholas "Chick" Staffo of Little Falls and Angelo "Chaut" Staffo and wife Mary also of Little Falls, in laws, Lena Barone and Micki Papaleo both of Little Falls, Mary Vallone and husband Dominick of Frankfort and Connie Raiello and Mary Raiello of Little Falls, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lena Battisti and three brothers, Rocco, John and Michael Staffo. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Enea Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls on Tuesday (today) from 6-8 pm. Rose's funeral will commence at 8:30 am on Wednesday morning, September 3, 2003 from the chapel of the funeral home where prayer will be offered by Sister Marilyn Hayes, CSJ and at 9 am from Holy Family Parish, corner of East Main and John Streets, Little Falls. Procession will follow to St. Mary's Cemetery, town of Herkimer where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband Anthony. The family extends their deepest gratitude to everyone that cared for Rose and spent time with her, especially mentioning Mary and Chaut Staffo, Sharon Corrigan and the nurses and staff at Folts Homes and at the Little Falls Hospital.
