Roger R. Harper

ROME – Mr. Roger R. Harper, 93, of Elmer Hill Road, Rome, New York, (Town of Lee) who passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020, at Rome Memorial Hospital, in Rome and was always surrounded with love, has been cared for by the Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, in Ilion, New York, all in a private and dignified manner. His arrangements were handled by his friends and Funeral Directors Harry J. Enea, Jr., & Kevin E. Enea and Martin L. Ciaccia (315) 894-8000.

Roger was born in Little Falls, New York, January 8, 1927, a son of the late Rozell and Edna (Ransom) Harper and attended schools in Mohawk & Van Hornesville. He was married to the former Ora “Norma” Hext and she passed away December 14, 2011. Roger worked with Herkimer Petroleum of Utica, New York and interestingly did underground petroleum testing.
