ILION – Robert “Bobby” L. Parker, 59, of Clinton (New Hartford), formerly of Ilion, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY.
He was born on July 10, 1962, in Greenville, MS, the son of Ernest and Lucy (Ezell) Collins and graduated from Foley Alabama High School. On August 16, 2016, he was married to Peter Parker, in Utica. Bobby worked in the Hospitality and Hotel Industry for several years, including being General Manager at Ameri Suites, in Memphis, Tennessee.
Surviving family members include his husband, Peter Parker; dog, Olivia; cat, “Figgie”; sisters, Linda, Nancy and Susan; brother, Phillip; and various nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Robert’s wishes, there will be no scheduled calling hours or Funeral Services.

In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to Herkimer County Humane Society, 514 State Route 5s, Mohawk, NY 13407.
Robert’s service arrangements are entrusted to the Parker Family’s Funeral Director, Don Applegate, at Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home’s original location, at 102 West St., Ilion, NY (315-895-7722).
