Little Falls, NY--Mrs. Rita Francesco, age 85, of 345 Gun Club Road in Little Falls, passed away on August 8th, 2026, at her home with family by her side.
She spent her life as a homemaker. At one time she worked at Allegro and LaSalle Manufacturing.
She was born on March 4th, 1941, in Rome, New York, and was the daughter of the late Emilio and Mafalda (Zarrelli) Coccia. On September 12th, 1959, in St. John the Baptist Church, Rome, she married Charles Francesco, who was the love of her life for over sixty years.
Rita is survived by her two sons, Dr. Jeff Francesco of Kannapolis, NC and Charles Francesco, III of East Herkimer and her daughter Cynthia Francesco of Little Falls and five beloved grandchildren. Matthew and Courtney and Andrew, David, and Olivia.
She is also survived by her beloved sister Elizabeth Delahunt and her husband Thomas and their children who she adored Tom Delahunt and Amy Delahunt-Myslinski. Charles Franceso, her husband, preceded her on April 6th, 2024
We would like to thank all the doctors and nurses from Hospice for all their care and compassion you extended to our mother during her illness. Thank you, to Bassett Healthcare, for the exceptional care you provided our mother through the years. Your dedication and care given by your doctors, nurses and therapists was greatly appreciated. A special thank you to Foltsbrook Daycare for all you did for our mother. You provided a warm-loving environment, and she loved being a part of it.
