Richard A. Waite

Rev. Richard A. Waite, age 72, a lifelong Ilion area resident, passed away suddenly on January 30, 2024 in the privacy and comfort of his home.
Born on May 28, 1951, Richard was the son of the late Viola A. (Pfeifer) Waite. He was raised and educated locally. At one time he was married to the former Patricia Skelly.
In 1982 he proudly enlisted with the United States Army and after his initial service, he joined the United States Naval Reserves and was a member of the Navy Seabees. He received his honorable discharge on November 6, 1998.
Richard was a man of faith and proudly served as the Pastor of the People's Undenominational Church of Cedarville for many years.
He is survived by a beloved son, Eric M. Waite, of Poland, NY.
