Richard F. Hicks

Richard F. Hicks, 58, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 29, 2026, in California. He was a 1987 graduate of Mohawk High School.

From a young age, Richard was remarkably athletic excelling as a competitive gymnast throughout his school years. After competing, his love for gymnastics continued as he mentored and taught young gymnasts.

Richard had a highly diverse professional background from acting, flipping homes, to becoming a successful Real Estate Investor. He thoroughly enjoyed remodeling and restoring homes. Richard also pursued his earlier passion for acting and was an active member of SAG-AFTRA. He was a certified sommelier and bottled his own wine with a distributor in Hawaii. Richard was an avid car enthusiast and took great pride and pleasure in his love of automobiles especially sports cars. He owned many throughout his life.

Richard was a lifelong adventurer and he loved to travel. He traveled throughout the United States and other countries including Ireland, England, Italy, and Germany. Richard loved animals and had three rescue dogs; Victoria, Luca and Dakota.

Richard was predeceased by his father Raymond Hicks, paternal grandfather Stewart Hicks, his maternal grandmother Izetta DeCarr and his cherished dog Victoria.

Surviving are his loving mother Patricia Hicks (David), his close friend David Deschene and his faithful dogs Luca and Dakota. Richard is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of life on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 11:00am-12:00pm at the Enea Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, Ilion, NY. A prayer service will begin at 12:00pm, following the service. Richard will be then laid to rest at Armory Hill Cemetery.
