Richard G. Gaydos

FORT PLAIN - Richard G. Gaydos, of Fort Plain, NY, passed away, on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at the age of 85. Richard was born in Mineola, NY, on March 14, 1939.
Richard was a U.S. Navy veteran and an avid revolutionary war reenactor. He had a profound appreciation for history and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others.
Survivors include his sons, Richard Gaydos, of California and George Gaydos, of Fort Plain; his daughter, Katherine Gaydos, of North Carolina; his sisters, Mary Mellilo, of North Carolina, Jane DiCostanzo, of Delaware and Susan Wilson, of Babylon, NY; his six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his son, Michael G. Gaydos.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
