Rhonda Peeler

WHITESBORO/HERKIMER-Rhonda M. DuPont Peeler, 51, of Westmoreland Rd., passed away on Tuesday morning, January 20, 2009 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Utica. She was born on June 11, 1957 in Herkimer, and graduated from Herkimer High School. She attended Herkimer County Community College. For twelve years she resided in Colorado and also attended Key Punch Operating School. Rhonda was employed as a sales clerk with Sears, New Hartford and formerly employed as a key punch operator in Colorado and with the Herkimer Evening Telegram. Rhonda was a loving, caring and kind person and always went above and beyond for anyone seeking her help. She loved flowers, animals and being outdoors. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, sewing and interior decorating. Survivors include her mother: Joyce VanAlstine and William Singer of Herkimer; a son: Ryan Peeler; brothers: Wayne DuPont and wife Cathy of Mohawk, Thomas DuPont of Herkimer, and Jeffrey Taylor and wife Carleen of Holland Patent; a sister: Deborah Thomes and Frank Skutnik of Verona; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Rhonda's funeral will commence at 1 p.m on Monday, January 26, 2009 from the Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer with Father Anthony Ligato, pastor of Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church, Herkimer, officiating. Relatives and friends may pay their respects from 11am-1 p.m., prior to the service on Monday at the Enea Family Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest later in the spring.
