IN LOVING MEMORY

MOHAWK - Renata Undt, age 47, died on March 31st, 2026, at her home in Mohawk, New York. At her side was her longtime partner, friend and father of her youngest child.

She was born in Oswego, NY on September 30th, 1978, to John A. Rodgers and Kathleen T. Barbasso. Renata was disabled for most of her life due to various debilitating illnesses.

She struggled through life, losing both her parents at a very young age, battling health issues and knowing that her life would be painful as well as shorter than the average individual. However, despite all her trials and tribulations - her determination and strength were such that she always found a way to persevere, to smile, to dance, and to survive.

Renata would say that her biggest accomplishment in life was having her children. She loved butterflies, she loved nature and she loved to cook! From a young age she dreamed of one day going to culinary arts school and becoming and working as a chef.

In recent years, she was able to partially realize that dream, between raising her boys and battling her illnesses, when she earned her associate’s degree in culinary arts in 2022.

She will be remembered by her partner of many years and his family, her aunt, cousins and friends but especially by her children - for her warmth, her strength, and the truly great hugs she gave so freely.

Renata will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Services for Renata will be held on Wednesday April 8th, 2026, calling hours with viewing from 2:00PM until 4:00PM concluding with a funeral prayer service, at The Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home at 4309 Acme Road Ilion, NY 13357.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, and are greatly appreciated, to support funeral expenses and the care of her minor children.
