Raymond Hart

ST. JOHNSVILLE- Mr. Raymond F. Hart Sr., 68, of Bolster Hill Rd. entered into eternal rest on Monday March 8, 2010 at home with his loving family at his side. He was born on August 1, 1941 in St. Johnsville, son of the late Olin J. and Sarah (Kretser) Hart. He was a lifelong area resident, graduating from Oppenheim-Ehratah Central School. He was a molder for Chicago Pneumatics in Utica. Raymond?s first and foremost priority in life was his family. He was a hard working family man who loved kids; not just his own kids but everybody?s kids. Raymond had a big heart. He was a friend of most of the residents of St. Johnsville. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, golf, softball and bowling. Survivors include his daughter Deborah Gordon and her husband Derek of Johnstown; his sons Raymond F. Hart Jr. of St. Johnsville, Allen Hart and his wife Barbara of St. Johnsville and Jeffrey Hart and his lifelong companion Tanney Herringshaw of St. Johnsville; his brothers Olin Hart Sr. of Johnstown, Richard Hart Sr. (Esther) of St. Johnsville, Edward Hart (Deanne) of St. Johnsville and Arnold Hart Sr. (Jeanne) of St. Johnsville; his sisters Pauline Filipczuk of Herkimer, Dorothy Mosher (Jacque) of St. Johnsville and Erma Genis (Stephen) of Ephratah; his 9 grandchildren: Raelyn and Mitchell Hart, Matthew, Jacob and Zachary Gordon, Allen Jr. and Allison Hart, Megan and Amber Hart; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother David Hart of Stratford whose wife Arlene survives. The family will receive relatives and friends from 1 - 4 pm on Thursday March 11, 2010 at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville, NY. Funeral private. However, the family would like to share food and fellowship beginning at 4 pm at the Grace Christian Church, 20 Center St., St. Johnsville, NY. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the St. Johnsville Youth Center or the Ephratah Recreational Facility. Envelopes may be obtained at the funeral home.
