MOHAWK – Mr. Ray H. Thibodeau, age 88, passed away suddenly on Saturday morning, May 29, 2021 in the privacy and comfort of his home.

Born in Schenectady on November 30, 1932, Ray was the son of the late Henry and Mamie (Clumm) Thibodeau. He was raised and educated in Schenectady and also spent time living in both Canajoharie and Mt. Kisco, NY, before settling in Mohawk in 1988.

Ray was married to the former Pauline J. Rywalt in 1977 and together they shared in a loving and devoted union of thirty-seven years until Pauline’s passing on April 15, 2014.

Ray last worked as tech adviser and sales representative for Radio Shack in Herkimer. In his spare time he enjoyed amateur ham radio operating and astronomy. He and his wife were members of the Mohawk Reformed Church.

Ray is survived by his children, Dorothy Glidewell and husband, Guy of Herkimer, Darren Thibodeau of California, Dawn Trenter of Florida and David Thibodeau of Florida; he also leaves several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Aside from his parents and wife, Pauline, he was predeceased by his siblings.

Friends and relatives are invited to pay their respects to Ray on Friday, June 4, 2021 from 2:00PM – 3:00PM at the Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, Town of Frankfort, Ilion, NY (315) 894-8000. Ray’s funeral service and Celebration of Life will commence on Friday at 3:00PM at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Brian Engel. Final entombment will take place at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Putnam Valley, NY.

Ray’s family has entrusted his final wishes to Harry and Kevin Enea and Martin L. Ciaccia, Funeral Directors. Online notes of sympathy may be left at www.eneafamily.com .
