ILION – Randy Francis Sterling, 63, passed away peacefully, at home, on September 29, 2022. Randy was born in Ilion to the late Frederick and Jean (Clark) Sterling.
After graduating from Owen D. Young Central School and HCCC, Randy joined and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force, having served for fifteen years. He worked at LaSalle Labs, in Little Falls.
He is survived by his loving son, Michael Sterling; and two brothers and a sister-in-law, Robert Sterling, Dennis Sterling and Nancy Warmuth.
He was predeceased by family members, Mark Sterling, brother and Deborah Sterling, sister-in-law.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the First Responders and Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home for their kindness and compassion they have shown during this time.
In keeping with Randy’s wishes, there will be a Graveside Service, on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at 10 a.m, at Oak Hill Cemetery, Herkimer, NY, at the family plot, officiatied by Sr. Maureen Denn.
Arrangements have been handled with Enea, Ciaccia and Applegate, Funeral Directors (315) 894-8000.
