Mrs. Philena (Tisi) Coffin, age 82, formerly of Little Falls, went to be with the Lord on February 9, 2004 unexpectedly, in Highland Regional Hospital, Sebring, Florida. She was born on September 10, 1921 in Little Falls a daughter of the late Leonard and Josephine (Barone) Tisi and was educated in Little Falls Schools. She was united in marriage with Leon J. Coffin, Sr. on November 25, 1939 at St. Joseph's Church, Little Falls a loving union of 55 years until his passing on April 4, 1995. She was last employed with Remington Arms, Ilion. She was a former member of St. Joseph's Church, Little Falls, the Holy Family Parish and its Rosary Society. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxillary of Little Falls. Philena always brought forth concern, commitment and effort to each of her family members. She was an outstanding mother and grandmother, one who took great pride in the roles to provide support and guidance to her loved ones and will be dearly missed by many. Survivors include a daughter, Rosanne Richie and husband Roy of Sicklerville, NJ, a son, Richard J. Coffin and wife Regina of Edinburg, NY, six siblings, Sara Federico of Tenn., Bennie Tisi and wife Ferne of Little Falls, Nancy Coffin and husband Ed of Little Falls, Ida Rich and husband Anthony of Little Falls, Mary Raiello of Little Falls, and Rose Perkov and husband John of TX, seven grandchildren, Philip Coffin and wife Tina, Debbie Coffin, Christine Dylong and husband Mark, Denise Anderson and husband John, Ryan Richie and wife Molly, Randy Coffin and wife Bette, and Shelly Coffin, fourteen great grandchildren, Joseph and Daniel Dylong, Brittany and Derek Anderson, Ricky Coffin and Philena Coffin, Rebecca Cook, Katie Fuller, Donnie, Laura and Jordan Herringshaw, Rebecca and Erick Coffin and Cory Patterson, many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by three siblings, Katherine LaPorta, Geneva Lorenzoni and Orlando Tisi, a grandson, Ricky Coffin and by a son, Leon J. "Bo" Coffin, Jr. on January 23, 2004. Visitation at the Enea Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls will be on Friday (today), Feb. 13, 2004 from 5-8 p.m. Philena's funeral will commence at 10:15 am on Sat. morn., from the chapel of the funeral home where prayer will be offered and at 11 am from Holy Family Parish, corner of E. Main and John Sts., Little Falls with the Rev. Thomas Vail, officiating. Procession will follow to St. Mary's Cemetery, town of Herkimer where she will be laid to rest. Members of the Holy Family Parish Rosary Society are asked to meet at the funeral home on Friday evening at 5:30 p.m to conduct their service.
