Mr. Peter Romano, Sr., 81, of 627 Albany St., Little Falls, passed away June 9, 2003 at the St. Elizabeth's Medical Center with his loving wife and children at his bedside. He was born in St. Johnsville, the son of the late Joseph and Carmella Romano. Peter grew up and attended school in St. Johnsville where he graduated with the class of 1940. He served in the US Army during World War II and was honorably discharged in 1945. On September 19, 1942 he married Angie Rizzi at St. Joseph's Church in Little Falls. Peter was a master plumber for 45 years and was last employed by Little Falls Hardware. He was an avid golfer and Yankee baseball fan. He was a member of the DeCarlo Staffo Post of Little Falls. He is survived by his beloved wife Angie of Little Falls; his children, Peter Romano, Jr. and wife Peggy of Little Falls, Dr. James Romano of Rochester and a brother Fred Romano of Phoenix, AZ. He was predeceased by a brother Thomas of Elmira Heights and a sister, Philomena Coco of St. Johnsville. Visitation at the Enea Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls will be held on Tuesday June 10th from 5-8 p.m. Peter's funeral will commence at 11:15 am on Wednesday, June 11 from the chapel of the funeral home where prayer will be offered, thence to Holy Family Parish, corner of E. Main and John Streets, Little Falls where his Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 p.m. by the Rev. Charles R. Celeste, pastor. Procession will follow to St. Mary's Cemetery where Peter will be laid to rest. By family request, contributions may be made to the Holy Family Parish Church Restoration Fund, envelopes may be obtained at the Enea Funeral Home, Little Falls. The DeCarlo Staffo Post will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday at 6 pm to conduct their service.
