Frankfort, New York

FRANKFORT - Mr. Peter L. Biando, age 90, of Brockway Road, town of Frankfort, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Monday morning January 12th, 2026, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family members.

He was born in Malone, New York, on February 3rd, 1935, son of the late Mary (Chapple) White and stepfather Kenneth White. He was educated at schools in Malone, New York. He was of the Catholic Faith.

On September 25th, 1954, he was united in Holy Matrimony with Carmen Eseltine, in St. George’s Catholic Church, Burke, New York. This was a 56-year union of love and dedication. Carmen passed away on April 8th, 2011.

Peter was last employed at Joseph Grippe Industrial Supply Company in Frankfort, New York, as a salesman. He served with the National Guard at one time. He worked on the Adirondack Railroad from Utica to Malone, New York. He worked for Pepsi-Cola Company, Chicago Pneumatic, and ran the KB Bar B Que Restaurant in Frankfort, New York. He was a carpenter by trade as well.

Mr. Biando was a dedicated and caring husband, father, and grandfather. He loved hunting and fishing and was still active in woodworking right up until recently. His true passion was his camp on Hinckley Lake.

Survivors include his family, his children, Debra Foster and her husband Eldon of Frankfort, Leon Biando and his wife Mary of Ontario, New York, and James Biando of Manlius, New York, his grandchildren, Jennifer Lawlor and her husband Chris, James Foster and Jenny Mugrace, Daniel Foster, Benjamin Biando and his wife Victoria, Venita Maglier and her husband Tyler, Marty Biando, Ryan Jaquish, and Brandon Jaquish, his great-grandchildren, Ariana Stadtlander and her husband Kevin, Taylor Draiss and her husband Sam, Daniel Foster, and Emilia Foster, and his great-great grandchildren, Lilith, Wesley, and Annalee, and several nieces and nephews, sisters Betty Youngblood and Dorothy White. He held a very special friendship with Muriel Testani of Potsdam, New York.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Carmen, his son, Donald Biando, his grandsons, Peter & Michael Biando, and his great-grandson Joshua Biando, and brother Kenneth White. 

The family offers their sincere and deepest gratitude to Hospice staff that was given to Peter during this difficult time. Also, to AMP Urology, Dr. Daniel Welchons, nurse Susan, and staff for their kindness and compassion that was offered to Peter. He was thankful for his wonderful neighbors, Russ, Mark and Dave.

The family will receive relatives and friends, calling hours at The Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, town of Frankfort, Ilion, New York, will be on Saturday, January 17th, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon.

His funeral will commence at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, January 17th, 2026, from the chapel of the funeral home where prayer will be offered by Deacon James Bower. He will be laid to rest later in the spring in Stevens Cemetery, Skerry, NY.
