ST. JOHNSVILLE- Mr. Paul A. Vacca, 54, passed away on September 5, 2012 at the St. Johnsville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after a long courageous battle with cancer



He was born on July 9, 1958, in Little Falls, son of the late Felix and Marguerite (Castrucci) Vacca. He graduated from St. Johnsville High School. Paul was employed as a Concrete Mason with the Bricklayers Union, Local #2 in Albany.



Paul loved the H.C. Smith Benefit Club and was a 32+ year member. Through the Benefit club he was also involved in many community programs: the St. Johnsville Schools ,St. Johnsville Little League , the St. Johnsville Senior Citizens and the St. Johnsville Youths. He was a huge New York Mets and NASCAR fan. His sense of humor will be greatly missed by his family and by his beloved friends whom he thought of as family.



Paul is survived by his longtime companion and special friend Becky Hagadorn; her daughters: Stacey, Jennifer, Sarah Beth and Jessica Hagadorn; his brother Peter Vacca and his wife Veronica (Peaches) and niece Leanne, nephew John Vacca of North Port Fl; his grandchildren: Joslin Cole, Jordan Simzer, Jocelyn Simzer, Tyler Mussmacher, Bailey Fink and Hayden Buck.



The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00am- 12:00pm on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville. A religious service will be held immediately following the calling hours at the H.C. Smith Benefit Club with the Rev. David A. Johnson officiating.



In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Paul's name be made to the H.C. Smith Benefit Club. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
